Dave forwarded me a picture of the hoppies. His girlfriend Ruth has been taking care of the hoppies while Dave, Flo, and I are not around. (What a great girlfriend she is! May a lot of hoppiness be with her.)
They are already like modest christmas trees. It's amazing how quickly they grow! They make me feel like as if I were a great great aunt of them who meets them after a 30 years of interval and goes: "Oh, I couldn't recognize you since you are so tall and beautiful. Last time when I saw you, you were just a small baby."
By the way, this type of conversation always makes me very uncomfortable. It's not fair that somebody remembers you as a useless baby with a diaper on, and you don't know who the **** you are talking to.
So, when I see them in August, I'm not going to say these things to my hoppies. I'll just treat them as beautiful adults and ask if they would fancy a glass of whisky with me.
